I am a Nigerian and aware that we have similar festivals, like the Offa Maiden Festival in Kwara State in the North Central Nigeria.

There actually is nothing wrong with these festivals as they are meant to celebrate purity and encourage chastity among young girls.

The problem is with most of you that reduce this noble culture to porn. Most of you are sick, sex maniacs in need of urgent help.

@bryjoe - The illeteracy level is very high in KZN. Zulus are not over enthusiastic to go to school or to work. Give them house music, some nyamchom and booze and nothing else matters. And yes there are those who get infected to receive govt. grants. Hali ngumu hela lazima ipatikane.

Mr. Kip, hukus they get grants so sometimes they just have unprotected sex knowingly and if they become infected they get paid monthly kama mshahara. The situation is hopeless.

Even single parents get grants to support their babies. Ofcourse the money is misused in alcohol and sex issues.

To Batswana defence, the whole country has a population of 1.7M therefore if 1M are HIV+ what will be the percentage? compare that to our own population if 10M out 36M what's the percentage?
